Alchemic Muse Pumpkinfest

Disclaimer - all products were purchased by me.

The Alchemic Muse Pumpkinfest collection is an offering of six different pumpkin-based scents that is offered every year in between the autumn and winter collections.  I have three of the scents to review. The other three are Pumpkin Apple Butter, Pumpkin Chai, and Pumpkin Cocoa. These are all available in a variety of products such as perfumes, scrubs, body whips, cream soaps, etc; the exception is Pumpkin Chai which is only available as a perfume.

As always I received a shipping notice within a day or two of ordering, and everything was packaged securely with a safety seal and shrink wrap. A free sample of a perfume vial or bar soap is included with each order.

I didn't include Pumpkin Caramel in the pic since I just finished the jar.

Pumpkin Caramel - a mouth-watering indulgence of roasted pumpkin flesh drenched in buttery, creamy caramel and topped with freshly grated nutmeg. This was a lot different than I expecting. I figured it would be very sweet but not so much. I get a lot of nutmeg and something sharp? Like slightly medicinal. I didn't smell any pumpkin or caramel though. IDK, that sharp note is really throwing this off for me.

Pumpkin Honey - clover honey and warm beeswax drizzled over pumpkin pulp, sweet cream, and black strap molasses over a thick layer of harvest spice. Now this one is gooood. I mostly smell the honey and molasses with a subtle touch of spices. Honey scents can be hit or miss but this one is just right. It's sweet (definitely not cloying though) but it also manages to be a comfy scent.

Pumpkin Marshmallow - sweet pumpkin creme brulee dripping in melted marshmallow and topped with a darkened vanilla bean pod. Very smooth and creamy with a slight sweetness. I smell pumpkin puree that has been toned down with hints of vanilla. And perhaps spices? Hmm, I think there's a drop of cinnamon somewhere in here that amped on my skin for a moment.  I'm actually having a hard time smelling this because it's a very light scent that hugs close to the skin. This is one of those "safe" scents you could wear in the workplace that wouldn't offend your coworkers.

Final thoughts - Pumpkin Honey was the one that surprised me the most, and I'm planning to grab a few more items in this scent. Marshmallow is nice but a bit too light for my nose. Caramel was a tad too strong on the nutmeg and combined with that sharp medicinal note it gets a pass. These are all currently available on the site along with the other three scents in the collection but Marshmallow appears to be running low on inventory. If it sounds like something you'd enjoy you might want to snatch it up before it's gone.
