Haus of Gloi Cozy Pumpkin...and Butter Bombs!

Disclaimer - all products were purchased by me.

This was from the second part of the autumn restock. I kept it small this time, grabbing a few butter bombs for my daughter and a sample of Cozy Pumpkin that I missed last year.

Shipping was pretty fast this time. I had a shipping notice two days later and even received the package a few days early. No unnecessary trip halfway across the country this time courtesy of the USPS. That's always a plus! There was a free sample of Pumpkin Eater this time along with a few candies that were snatched up quickly by little hands.

Cozy Pumpkin

Fresh pumpkin and our ever popular Cozy Sweater (pale skin musk, faded perfume, Egyptian amber, softly burning nag champa incense and a fine aged vanilla) blended together for fall time coziness.

It starts out smelling similar to Pumpkin Eater, only sweeter and with less nutmeg. This is a creamy pumpkin puree rather than an earthy pumpkin straight from the vine. There's the lightest trace of incense, but it's more of a foody scent for now. The pumpkin fades after two hours and now I'm smelling a soft blend of musk and amber. It's a very clean, second skin type of fragrance that hugs very close to my wrist.

Candy Corn (left) & Pumpkin (right)

Candy Corn

That weirdly delicious scent.

These ones are really cute. They're yellow, orange and white just like the candy, and they smell like it too. Sugary syrup with a plasticky note. Very lightly scented.

Leaf Pile

Soft ozone and dried leaves.

Crunchy orange and yellow leaves, cool autumn air, and a little bit of moist soil. Strongly scented and very similar to their Samhain 2.0 scent.

Marshmallow

Right outta the bag sweetness!

Sugary vanilla that smells just like the real thing. No plasticky or toasted notes. It's pretty lightly scented though.

Pumpkin

Fresh vanilla infused pumpkin. No spice!

This smells like their Pumpkin Eater scent but not as spicy. I do smell some spice notes (nutmeg) but they're subtle. It's creamy and sort of buttery, but doesn't make me think of pumpkin.

This was the first one my daughter wanted to try, and I was a bit underwhelmed by it. I cut the butter bombs into four pieces and toss one piece into the tub for her. Just that tiny piece will leave her smelling nice for a couple hours, but not this time. One piece didn't scent her skin or the water so I tossed in a second piece with the same outcome. Half the butter bomb and no fragrance left behind even when she rubbed a dissolving piece onto her arm. It was strongly scented before going in the water so I don't know what happened here.

Sleepy Time

Lavender, lemongrass, clary sage, vanilla bean and chamomile.

Yellow Fruit Loops! That's the first thing I smell every time I sniff this one, but then I begin to smell the lemon grass with a touch of lavender vanilla. Very herbal, heavy on the lemon note, a little sweet and very strongly scented. I grabbed this thinking it would help my daughter wind down in the evening and surprisingly she loved this!

Final thoughts - no Cozy Pumpkin for me (it was nice at first but the dry down didn't excite me), but the butter bombs are a hit. My daughter was super excited to have her own scents (she loved the marshmallow and candy corn, of course!) and looks forward to bath time even more. The butter bombs have sold out again after being restocked this past weekend (they sell out within 5 minutes), but Cozy Pumpkin and the rest of the autumn lineup are still available on the website.
