Scoopable Tart Wax

Disclaimer - all products were purchased by me.

Here's a small order from a vendor I've been wanting to try for a while now. This time it's Scoopable Tart Wax owned by Kathy Fahley and based out of Wisconsin. She offers monthly ready to ship restocks of 4 ounce and 8 ounce jars of strongly scented scoopable wax. It's a softer wax than clamshells so all you need to do is grab a spoon and dig into the jar.

I've been wanting to try out more scoopables ever since I ordered one from another vendor earlier this year. Because the wax is so soft, it's a little messy but they're so much fun to play around with that I don't mind. You only need 1-2 spoonfuls in the warmer and it's easy to mix and match scents to create your own custom blends.

These are the scents I picked up from the March 17th restock. She gives a list of scents that will be offered and a time that she will open, so ordering is simple. These are 4 ounce jars that were $5.00 each. The box arrived on March 22 so shipping is lightening fast. A free sample was included as well.

Cool Water Type
A refreshing, spicy lavender and amber fragrance. Contains a blend of lavender, jasmine, oakmoss, musk and sandalwood.

So this was the reason I ordered. I've been thinking about trying a Cool Water dupe lately because of the nostalgia from the high school days when everyone was wearing this perfume. One whiff from the jar had me confused as it smells nothing like I remember. And then the 'derp' moment came - there were two versions of this scent, one for men and one for women. This turns out to be a dupe of the masculine version and not the feminine one that I was looking for. Whoops! Anyway, this smells like bergamot and clean musk with an ozone freshness. Moderate throw with one spoonful.

Hypnotic Vanilla
This incredibly rich, creamy, smooth vanilla has a hypnotic lure to it. This scent is so captivating, we believe it will heighten your standards for a true vanilla from here on out.

A deep vanilla bean ice cream scent. No buttery notes and not too sweet, but very rich. Good on its own and I'm sure this will be a great blender too. Moderate throw with one spoonful.

Oatmeal Raisin Monster
Monster Cookie (brown sugar, butter, Madagascar vanilla & spices) blended with oatmeal raisin cookie.

A free sample that was included. I'm going to call this a bread scent rather than cookie. It has a strong yeasty aroma like fresh baked bread with an abundance of cinnamon. Moderate throw with 1/4 of the cup added to the warmer.

German cake with the crumb topping known as streusel.

Sweet cake buried beneath mounds of brown sugar crumbles and lightly spiced with cinnamon. This is one of those 'home sweet home' scents that wraps you in a cozy embrace as you walk in the room. The throw was very light with one scoop so I'm going to set this aside to cure a while longer.

These scents are impressive, especially Hypnotic Vanilla and Streuselkuchen. I was expecting the throw to be a bit stronger, but I also jumped right into these without letting them cure much. Overall I'm very happy with this order and plan on checking out more scents that the brand has to offer.

  1. I ordered from this restock too.. But never received my order. I had a bad experience with this vendor. Long story short and trying to be discreat, I did get reimbursed. Though I am disappointed that I did not get to try their product as this would have been my first time ordering.

    1. Wow, I'm very sorry to hear that! Do you mind if I ask what happened?

    2. Oh no!!! That is awful!!! >:-(

  2. Glad you had some better results with the scoops than I did. I ordered several over various periods of time but I just really could not get them to trow consistently. I think it is my warmers maybe. I love Kathy and this she has amazing experience with wax but in think scoopables in general don't like me.

    1. The throw is so-so but I'm going to set them aside for a while. Have you tried L3? I only have two scoopables from her but they throw like a beast
