Arcana Strawberries and Peaches

Disclaimer - all products were purchased by me

I've been sitting on this collection for two years now debating whether to review them. Arcana's Peaches Crave and Strawberries Crave were two large collections that came out a while back and sold out quickly. They are pretty hard to come by and it just didn't sit well with me to review a collection that is near impossible to track down. Julia restocked a bunch of these this past week so now is the time to do a review while they're easier to find.

I ordered these through Ajevie, but since she no longer works with Arcana, the only way to find this collection is by ordering full bottles from the EBay shop that I will link down below.

Peaches Crave Beaches
Green bamboo, coconut, vanilla musk, citron, lemongrass, bergamot and dewy peach flesh

Or as I like to think of it, Citrus Craves Even More Citrus. Because that's pretty much what it is - citrus. The citron and bergamot stand out as astringent, clean and dry with a "green" lean. Think peels rather than a juicy pulp. Eventually the coconut comes out of hiding and softens things up a bit, but it is fleeting and disappears almost as fast as it appeared. I wore this several times and never got the peach. The drydown is still sharp and green, but a woodsy note is now present that must be the bamboo. For a citrus heavy blend, it lasted a surprisingly long time at nine hours and retained a strong sillage throughout.

Peaches Crave Paws
Our Puppy Kisses blend (a batter of rich cream, soft coconut milk, rice syrup, copaiba balsam, massoia bark and milky pearl musk is gently licked with sweet peppermint, sugared bayberry and the tiniest smooches of Oregon lavender and Dalmatian sage) with peach skin and peach blossoms

Calming, smooth and snuggly, this features a strong peppermint on a milky base with fresh lavender and sage mixed throughout. It's a linear scent that stays the same from start to finish and lasts all day. The peach never made an appearance though. This one wasn't restocked because the Puppy Kisses scent has been discontinued so it may take some effort to track down a bottle.

Peaches Crave Vanilla
Sugared peach, glorious vanilla, marshmallows, sweet milk and sheer musk

The smell of peaches and cream instant oatmeal is what this reminds me of. Warm, comforting milk and sweet peaches open this blend with cream throughout the drydown. I only smell those two notes and I had expected it to be sweeter and more complex. Luckily the cream note stayed true instead of morphing into something sour like I've experienced in the past with her other cream blends.

Strawberries Crave Helios
Strawberry jam with juicy blackberries, lemonade, limeade and pure white amber

This one is extremely tart, featuring dark, tangy blackberries and fresh limeade. Sweet strawberries are present for the first few minutes but they are quickly buried beneath all that tang. Lime and a soft base of clean amber are what remain in the drydown. It's nice for summer but I'll have to test it a few more times before deciding on a full bottle. Like Peaches Crave Beaches, this is another citrus heavy blend that somehow manages to last all day with a strong throw.

Strawberries Crave Lucy
Our own Surfers on Acid blend (sweet coconut milk, pineapple and absinthe) with pink strawberries

This smells like a delicious tropical drink on the beach. All four notes are present upfront but a tart pineapple and absinthe (which smells like anise) are what really jump out. The anise may sound like a strange combo but it works here, thanks to a strawberry syrup that sweetens and a creamy coconut milk that softens the sharp edges. The overall effect is pink, flirty and summery, often bringing guava juice to mind. The drydown is all strawberry and coconut that manages to pull almost plasticky, but fruit + coconut tends to have that effect on my nose. Sillage starts out strong but quickly becomes a skin hugging scent. Right now I'm debating a full bottle purchase before it sells out again.

Strawberries Crave Rhinestones
Sparkle strawberry with pink frosting, white musk, black raspberry, black cherry, pink pepper and a drop of champagne

Bold cherry and sweet strawberry syrup with just a drop of the bubbly. The pepper is present for the first couple minutes and disappears quickly, leaving behind a sultry cherry (no cough syrup stickiness!) with a flirty sweetness. This is one of my favorites from the collection, but unfortunately, it was a Rhinestone Housewife exclusive that is hard to come by now that she no longer stocks Arcana.

Strawberries Crave Rococo
Tiny strawberries with Madagascar vanilla, Tahitian vanilla, apricot, white musk and skin musk

Smooth apricot and a heavy white musk with a soft strawberry accent. It's not as sweet as the description led me to believe and reads more as a sexy skin scent that lasted all day. It wasn't a scent that was included in this last restock, but Julia did add it to her shop a few months ago so it should be a little easier to find.

A nice collection of spring and summer blends, my favorites are Lucy and Rhinestones. I went back aand forth on whether to order Beaches and Helios but ultimately skipped out and grabbed Lucy. Strawberries Crave Pie is also coming along for the ride so I will have that to review in a few short weeks.

Ebay shop

(I just noticed that the shop is closed until future notice with no date for a reopening. I'm guessing she got hit with lots of orders and will reopen when she catches up)

  1. So happy to see these reviews! I did manage to pick up an Apples Crave Terror from the Arcana Addicts group. As for this most recent opening she had, I chose Strawberries Crave Nxy, Waterfalls and Lucy. And Peaches Crave Vanilla. Plus a few others. I was bad. Plus I may have ordered three scents from NAVA today. Gulp. At least I will smell good.

    1. Ahhhh Apples Crave Terror is a favorite! I can't wait to see your reviews, especially for Waterfalls. It's supposed to be really good.

What did you get from NAVA? Have you tried their vanillas yet? They're legendary
